OpenKyber is seeking a skilled Backend Developer (Java & PHP) for a client in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Gather functional requirements, develop technical specifications, and manage project & test planning.
- Develop scalable, efficient systems to protect user accounts, provide related tools, and prevent abuse of Company products.
- Ensure code quality, operational excellence, and adherence to software engineering best practices.
- Develop solutions using Java, Go, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, MySQL, DynamoDB, and AI-driven development tools.
- Design and develop prototypes or proofs of concepts (POC's).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, development, policy, product lines, data science, legal, and security teams to understand abuse trends and drive results.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
- Strong OOD and SOA principles; experience with web services (consuming or creating) using REST and gRPC.
- Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), full-stack/backend development, and applying AI technologies/tools to user experiences or backend solutions.
- Prior working experience in a cloud computing environment like AWS/Google Cloud Platform is highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience in technically leading complex projects.
- Experience in Java/J2EE, SQL, Go, or other Object-Oriented Languages.
- Experience with AWS products (including EC2, S3, RDS), Docker, and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Experience with AI technologies such as Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow, and Python.
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Good understanding of AI concepts, including model functionality, types, advantages, disadvantages, and integration with AI/ML models.
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team player with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong mentoring skills, including providing technical guidance and code review.
- Self-starter attitude and ability to make decisions independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with fraud prevention, abuse patterns, and cybersecurity.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large-scale applications.
- Familiarity with development challenges inherent in highly scalable solutions.
Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range provided represents the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably believe we would offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits to eligible employees, including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are eligible for paid sick leave if on a Service Contract Act project, otherwise paid time off eligibility is subject to legal requirements. Pay is not considered compensation until earned, vested, and determinable, and may be modified at OpenKyber's discretion consistent with the law. This position is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions.
