Ciklum is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our team full-time in Romania. We are a custom product engineering company, empowering multinational organizations and scaling startups to overcome complex business challenges. About the Role

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team with complete product and codebase ownership. Your involvement will span the entire development lifecycle, from ideation and design to architecture, implementation, deployment, and maintenance. This project focuses on enhancing trust and transparency on a global consumer review platform by detecting and preventing fraudulent activities, such as fake reviews, and ensuring policy compliance through AI, data analysis, and scalable fraud detection systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data Science within a full ownership team.
  • Participate in system design and technical decision-making.
  • Develop scalable backend services and clean, reusable frontend components.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed cloud services.
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and release of new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire tech stack.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Actively participate in code reviews and team discussions.
  • Support and inspire the team with technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development.
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices.
  • Skilled in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools like Datadog, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality.
  • Upper-intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with GCP and services like BigQuery.
  • Exposure to Python, .NET, or PHP.
  • Frontend experience with CSS Modules, SASS, or Styled Components.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation).
