Full-Stack Digital Solutions & AI Automation Intern

Overview

Cereus Solutions is seeking a versatile, creative, and technically curious individual for a paid 21-day internship focused on building modern digital solutions. This opportunity is designed for an emerging technology professional with a strong foundation in web development, interested in expanding across AI automation, application development, security operations, graphic design, and content creation.

You do not need to be a senior expert in every discipline. We are looking for a multidisciplinary problem-solver who possesses one or two strong technical abilities, a working knowledge of the remaining areas, and the discipline to learn quickly.

During the internship, you will receive practical training, complete structured assignments, and contribute to supervised internal or client-approved projects. Candidates who successfully complete the program may be considered for a commission-based position with Cereus Solutions.

What You Will Work On

Website and Web-Application Development

• Build responsive websites and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Develop user interfaces with frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular.
• Connect websites to databases, forms, APIs, scheduling platforms, and third-party services.
• Test websites across browsers, screen sizes, and devices.
• Improve website performance, accessibility, usability, and search readiness.
• Maintain and update existing websites and content-management systems.

AI Agents and Business Automation

• Build AI-assisted workflows for lead intake, customer support, scheduling, content, and internal operations.
• Connect language models with approved data, APIs, and business tools.
• Work with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or comparable systems.
• Create prompts, knowledge sources, business rules, and human-escalation paths.
• Test AI outputs for accuracy, safety, consistency, and usefulness.
• Document what an AI assistant may do, must not do, and when it should involve a person.
• Monitor automations and help troubleshoot failed or incomplete workflows.

Application Development

• Assist with developing web, mobile, or cross-platform applications.
• Build reusable interface components and application features.
• Connect applications to APIs, authentication systems, and databases.
• Participate in testing, debugging, release preparation, and maintenance.
• Work with technologies such as React Native, Flutter, Progressive Web Apps, or comparable tools when appropriate.

Security Operations and DevSecOps

• Follow secure coding, access-control, and data-handling practices.
• Protect passwords, API keys, tokens, and other sensitive credentials.
• Assist with dependency reviews, software updates, backups, and vulnerability checks.
• Apply foundational OWASP security principles to websites and applications.
• Review logs and report suspicious activity, exposed information, or system failures.
• Support secure deployment processes and incident-escalation procedures.
• Document security concerns instead of hiding or ignoring them.

Graphic Design and User Experience

• Create basic website graphics, social assets, presentation visuals, and brand materials.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and user-interface concepts.
• Maintain consistency across colors, typography, imagery, and layouts.
• Use tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable software.
• Prepare and optimize images for websites, applications, and social platforms.

Content Creation

• Write and edit clear website copy, service descriptions, FAQs, and calls to action.
• Create basic social-media, blog, email, or promotional content.
• Translate technical concepts into language customers can understand.
• Assist with simple photo, graphic, and short-form video production.
• Organize content so that it can be used safely by websites and AI assistants.
• Verify information before publishing or adding it to an AI knowledge source.

Development Operations and Teamwork

• Use Git and GitHub or GitLab to manage code and collaborate with the team.
• Maintain clear project notes, technical documentation, and status updates.
• Participate in planning meetings, reviews, and feedback sessions.
• Test work before requesting approval or deployment.
• Communicate blockers, risks, and mistakes promptly.
• Work within approved project scopes, deadlines, and security requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one modern front-end framework.
• Familiarity with at least one back-end language, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, PHP, Java, or C#.
• Basic understanding of APIs, JSON, webhooks, and databases.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control.
• Exposure to AI tools, workflow automation, or prompt development.
• Basic understanding of digital security, account access, and data privacy.
• Ability to create clean visual materials using Figma, Canva, Adobe tools, or similar software.
• Ability to write clear, grammatically correct digital content.
• Strong troubleshooting, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to accept feedback, document work, and learn unfamiliar tools.
• A portfolio, GitHub profile, or examples demonstrating relevant work.

Equivalent self-directed training, certifications, boot-camp experience, and personal projects are welcome. A college degree is not required if the applicant can demonstrate the necessary skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with Node.js, Python, Django, Flask, PHP, or another back-end framework.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, or comparable databases.
• Familiarity with React Native, Flutter, or Progressive Web Apps.
• Experience with n8n, Make, Zapier, voice agents, or AI-agent frameworks.
• Understanding of authentication, permissions, encryption, and OWASP risks.
• Familiarity with Docker, cloud hosting, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or another content platform.
• Familiarity with analytics, basic SEO, and conversion-focused design.
• Graphic-design, photography, video-editing, or social-content experience.
• Previous freelance, agency, startup, or client-facing project experience.

Internship and Post-Training Structure

The program begins with a paid 21-day internship and evaluation period at $[rate] per hour.

The program may include:

• Company and product orientation
• Development-environment setup
• Security and data-handling training
• Website and application assignments
• AI-automation exercises
• Design and content projects
• Documentation and quality-review exercises
• A supervised final project

Successful completion does not automatically guarantee a continuing position. Candidates selected to continue may receive a written offer for one of the following:

• A commission-based W-2 employee position with defined expectations, supervision, and applicable employee terms; or
• A commission-based independent-contractor engagement structured around independently performed projects or results.

The written offer will explain the commission formula, payment timing, eligible revenue, project responsibilities, expenses, ownership of work, and other applicable terms before the candidate accepts.
