About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer / Customer Success Engineer who enjoys building innovative technology solutions, solving complex problems, and working directly with clients in a fast-paced startup environment.

This role is primarily focused on product development and innovation, with approximately 70% of time dedicated to designing, developing, and enhancing product feature capabilities across mobile applications, APIs, analytics, and AI-enabled services. The remaining 30% supports client onboarding, technical operations, and customer success activities to ensure successful adoption and value realization.

You will work across our mobile application, API services, data warehouse, analytics stack, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing systems, playing a critical role in both product evolution and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development & Innovation (Primary Focus)

  • Design, develop, and enhance product capabilities across the mfIQ platform, including mobile applications, APIs, analytics, and AI-enabled services
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable user-facing and backend capabilities using React Native, Python, PHP, JavaScript, and cloud-native AWS services
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Docker, and Terraform
  • Translate client feedback, usage patterns, and business requirements into scalable product enhancements
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams to define, prioritize, and deliver roadmap initiatives
  • Participate in technical design reviews, architecture discussions, sprint planning, and release management activities
  • Design and integrate AI-powered capabilities including workflow automation, intelligent agents, LLM integrations, and predictive analytics that generate actionable insights and recommendations
  • Create automation tools and internal utilities that improve platform efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence
  • Contribute to quality assurance, testing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives across the product lifecycle

2. Customer Success Engineering & Onboarding

  • Serve as a technical partner during client onboarding, ensuring successful implementation and adoption of the platform
  • Configure client environments, validate data integrations, and support deployment of customer-specific requirements
  • Load, validate, and troubleshoot client data using Python-based ETL processes and data pipelines
  • Verify analytics, dashboards, and reporting outputs to ensure data accuracy and business value
  • Partner directly with clients to understand business objectives, operational requirements, and opportunities to optimize platform adoption and outcomes
  • Develop onboarding tools, implementation processes, documentation, training materials, and enablement resources that improve client experience and reduce deployment effort
  • Provide technical guidance and consultation throughout the customer lifecycle to maximize adoption, utilization, and business outcomes

3. Product Operations & Client Support

  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for platform-related issues involving mobile applications, analytics dashboards, integrations, APIs, and user administration
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve product issues while identifying underlying causes and opportunities for permanent improvements
  • Track, prioritize, and manage support requests, ensuring timely communication and resolution
  • Collaborate with development team to implement bug fixes, performance improvements, and product enhancements
  • Leverage support interactions as a source of product intelligence, helping identify recurring patterns, emerging requirements, and innovation opportunities
  • Contribute to release validation, deployment readiness, and post-release monitoring activities to ensure a high-quality customer experience

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in software development, technical consulting, customer success engineering, or related technical roles
  • Proficiency in two or more technologies such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, React Native, or other modern web/mobile frameworks and backend technologies
  • Experience building, integrating, or supporting APIs and cloud-based applications
  • Comfortable working with data, scripts, logs, and troubleshooting production systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work directly with clients to explain technical concepts and resolve issues effectively
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern AI technologies
  • Familiarity with data analytics, reporting, statistical analysis, or data-driven problem solving
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a dynamic startup environment
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and contributing across development, customer success, and operational initiatives as business needs evolve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and reside in Canada

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with React Native or other modern front-end frameworks
  • Experience with ETL pipelines, data integration, or data warehousing
  • Exposure to analytics and business intelligence platforms such as Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, predictive analytics, or machine learning concepts
  • Experience working in a SaaS, startup, or high-growth technology environment
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Based in the Ottawa–Outaouais region
