Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Fivem Server Developer to join our dynamic development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom scripts and features for our FiveM gaming servers. Duties
- Develop, test, and deploy custom scripts and mods for FiveM servers using languages such as Lua, JavaScript, and C#.
- Collaborate with the team to design scalable server architectures employing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance server functionality and user experience.
- Maintain and optimise existing server codebases, ensuring stability and performance across various platforms including Linux and Windows servers.
- Implement security measures to protect server integrity against exploits or malicious attacks.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve bugs efficiently.
- Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications following SDLC best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in game modification development, including new tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and version control systems like Git or SVN.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Lua, JavaScript (Node.js, React), Python, PHP, Ruby on Rails, and C#.
- Solid knowledge of database design and management using MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with web services such as SOAP, REST APIs, WCF, XML, JSON, and XSLT.
- Experience working within SDLC frameworks using tools like TFS or GitHub for version control.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, AJAX, UI/UX principles.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deployment and hosting solutions.
- Experience with application development environments like Visual Studio or Eclipse.
- Ability to perform unit testing and debugging effectively to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to project deadlines.
