Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire cross-functional engineering teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and innovation.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable IT infrastructure utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Manage enterprise systems including databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB), virtualization environments (vSphere), and network infrastructure (MPLS, WAN, VPN).
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with NIST standards, including network security, firewall management, system administration, and disaster recovery planning.
- Drive software development projects utilizing modern frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js, .NET, PHP, and Python; ensure adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
- Establish robust project management processes using Agile methodologies to deliver initiatives on time and within scope while managing budgets effectively.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop business continuity plans, risk management strategies, and vendor management protocols to safeguard company assets.
- Promote a strong understanding of IT governance principles while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS for payment security.
- Oversee system administration tasks including server management, DNS configuration, Active Directory management, and help desk support coordination.
- Lead efforts in system design for APIs integration with ERP systems and data warehouses; optimize ETL processes for data analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading large-scale engineering teams within fast-paced environments; demonstrated leadership in senior or executive roles.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with virtualization technologies like vSphere and SAN storage solutions.
- Strong expertise in network architecture including MPLS networks, VPNs, DNS management, WAN/LAN configurations, and network security protocols.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript (including React), Java, C#, Python, PHP; familiarity with DevOps practices is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks aligned with NIST standards; experience implementing enterprise-wide information security measures.
- Skilled in database management systems including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB; capable of designing efficient data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components like firewalls, server management tools (vSphere), Active Directory services, Microsoft Exchange email systems.
- Strong project management skills utilizing Agile methodologies; ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining focus on strategic goals.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders; adept at negotiation and vendor management.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are preferred but not mandatory.
