About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join the expanding Production Services team. This role is crucial for engineering and maintaining robust solutions within our production systems environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze complex technical systems architecture and propose actionable improvements.
- Apply expertise in Linux engineering and administration across thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machines (VMs).
- Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues.
- Support large-scale production deployments of servers and applications within internal datacenters.
- Develop moderate to complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alarms (e.g., Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Go).
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation schedule.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience with core Infrastructure technologies (e.g., Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on configuration management experience using tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Experience creating comprehensive technical documentation.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with networking protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP).
- Understanding of the OSI model.
- Knowledge of bare metal provisioning technologies (e.g., Canonical MaaS).
- Experience with block storage solutions (e.g., TrueNAS).
- Knowledge of container systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
- Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
- Experience with threat intelligence and mobile technology is a plus.

This remote role requires the candidate to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.
CrowdStrike is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $100,000 - $145,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package (including health insurance, 401k, and paid time off).
