About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join the expanding Production Services team. This role is crucial for engineering and maintaining robust solutions within our production systems environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze complex technical systems architecture and propose actionable improvements.
  • Apply expertise in Linux engineering and administration across thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machines (VMs).
  • Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues.
  • Support large-scale production deployments of servers and applications within internal datacenters.
  • Develop moderate to complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alarms (e.g., Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Go).
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation schedule.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience with core Infrastructure technologies (e.g., Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on configuration management experience using tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • Experience creating comprehensive technical documentation.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with networking protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP).
  • Understanding of the OSI model.
  • Knowledge of bare metal provisioning technologies (e.g., Canonical MaaS).
  • Experience with block storage solutions (e.g., TrueNAS).
  • Knowledge of container systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
  • Experience with threat intelligence and mobile technology is a plus.
