Document Applications Engineer (Full-time, Day Shift)

Join the growing Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) team and make a difference in people’s lives. We are seeking a skilled Document Applications Engineer to coordinate and lead technical activities related to enterprise document solutions.

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Document Management, this role involves implementing and deploying vendor or in-house applications, ensuring business specifications and end-user requirements are met, and delivering projects on time. The incumbent must possess strong technical knowledge to collaborate effectively with solution vendors and support system, network, storage, database, and development engineering resources throughout project efforts. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide effective peer support and coordinate complex technical troubleshooting.

Job Description: Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution deployment, testing, and support activities for document management system projects, including supporting systems or interfaces.
  • Mentor and support team members in deployment, testing, and support functions.
  • Provide resource requirements and scope of effort estimates for assigned projects.
  • Create timeframes and work schedules necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Debug causes and ensure the resolution of encountered service issues.
  • Develop or validate Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test cases and schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and teams.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of related work experience required in the implementation, deployment, and support of business-critical solutions.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of more than one programming language, such as Java, Python, C#, ASP.NET, PHP, or JavaScript.
  • Practical experience with application administration, installation, and configuration scripting.
  • Practical experience with content management systems.
  • Advanced technical computer skills required for technical support specific to the functional area and related systems.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Documentum Content and Captiva scanning platforms.
  • Experience with EHR systems, such as Epic, Meditech, or Athena.

Pay Range: $74,880.00 USD – $93,600.00 USD (Annual base salary range. Actual compensation determined by factors including seniority, education, experience, certifications, and geography.)
