Lead the Team Building the Future

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Front End Development to lead our front-end organization as we build a platform poised to transform the Insurance industry.

This role is for a builder, innovator, strategist, and leader.

We're not looking for someone to simply manage developers.

We're looking for someone who brings ideas, embraces emerging technologies, understands business outcomes, and can help a small elite team outperform organizations many times its size.

You will own the vision, strategy, architecture, standards, and execution of our front-end ecosystem while helping shape the future direction of the company.

Candidates who are not actively leveraging modern AI development tools as part of their daily workflow are unlikely to be successful in this role. Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a world-class front-end engineering team.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and retain exceptional talent.
• Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, and development best practices.
• Build a culture of ownership, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Identify high performers and help maximize their potential.
• Drive the company's front-end innovation strategy.
• Promote AI-assisted development practices throughout the organization.
• Create systems and processes that increase engineering velocity without sacrificing quality.

Technical Leadership

• Own front-end architecture and long-term technical direction.
• Guide development of scalable Vue.js applications.
• Ensure maintainability, performance, security, and quality across all front-end initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging frameworks, technologies, and AI tools for practical implementation.
• Establish standards for AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, debugging, and code generation.
• Drive adoption of technologies that create measurable business advantages.
• Collaborate closely with backend, product, marketing, and executive leadership.

Strategic Business Contribution

• Partner with leadership to improve customer acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and conversion performance.
• Help design and optimize digital sales funnels and customer journeys.
• Understand how user experience impacts revenue generation and business growth.
• Bring innovative ideas that improve product performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven productivity gains.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology and growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• 3+ years leading development teams or technical organizations.
• Expert-level Vue.js knowledge.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• Strong understanding of scalable front-end architecture.
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proven track record delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Demonstrated expertise leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and team effectiveness.
• Strong understanding of customer acquisition, conversion optimization, user behavior, and growth-focused product development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Laravel, PHP, or LAMP-stack environments.
• Startup or high-growth company experience.
• Experience building or optimizing sales funnels and customer acquisition systems.
• Experience working closely with marketing, growth, and product teams.
• Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar, or similar tools.
• Experience implementing AI-powered customer experiences.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations through rapid growth.
• Experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Lovable, Bolt, or similar AI-assisted development platforms.

Compensation

Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, leadership capability, and demonstrated impact.
