Digital Platforms Coordinator Job Summary
The Digital Platforms Coordinator assists with website builds, implementing new design features, and working to ensure the underlying structure of SBCA’s websites, e-resources, and digital platforms are accurate, functional, and up to date. This role also supports the ongoing management of SBCA's learning management system (LMS), e-commerce/shopping platforms, and other digital tools that support SBCA programs and member engagement. The Digital Platforms Coordinator takes direction from senior leadership and collaborates with third-party administrators (TPAs) on website, platform, and application design, configuration, and integration. Excellent digital design skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a highly technical, multi-platform environment are critical to success in this position.
Digital Resource Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assisting with web development on all aspects of websites and application design.
- Assisting with the implementation, testing, and maintenance of backend and front-end applications.
- Brainstorming new tech applications such as digital storage and mobile technology.
- Collaborating with designers and TPAs to implement new web features.
- Collaborate with management to evaluate, implement, and manage new technologies, automated systems, and digital platforms.
- Keeping up to date with the latest technology and programming trends.
- Converting video, audio, written, and graphic components into compatible formats for the web.
- Using user feedback to identify and correct problems with SBCA’s websites and third-party platforms.
- This role focuses on managing and integrating technology platforms rather than software development.
Digital Resource Specialist Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in digital communications, marketing technology or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years’ working experience as a web designer or equivalent.
- Strong computer literacy and technical aptitude.
- Experience working with coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and PHP. Other languages a plus.
- Solid understanding of web design and development principles.
- Working understanding of WordPress, MS 365 Administration, MailChimp, JotForm, Shopify, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Sound Cloud, Vimeo.
- Ability to gain a working understanding of Vitrium, Lead Marvels, Cvent, and Academy of Mine LMS.
- Good planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills.
- A portfolio of web design and projects you’ve worked on.
- Critical-thinking skills.
- Flexibility in the workplace.
- In-depth knowledge of software prototyping and UX design tools.
- Goal-oriented and deadline driven.
Salary and Benefits
This is a non-exempt, Full-time position. Pay is competitive, based on experience and qualifications, with a beginning wage expected in the range of $35.00 - $38.00 per hour, plus overtime.

Work from Home
This is a Work from Home position and is not centric to a specific geographic location. The successful candidate must be located within the United States and have high-quality, functional, high speed internet access. Computer and accessories will be provided by SBCA. The candidate is expected to have a desk or workspace capable of creating a successful work environment. Occasional travel to SBCA meetings, conferences, and staff meetings may be required.
Physical Requirements
- Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to type at a fast pace for long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel with a commercial airline.
