Overview

We are developing our flagship product: Pump.Sports, a Web3 gamified social platform for fantasy sports. Users create fantasy teams based on televised matchups, utilize financial contracts for wagers, and engage with competitors via video chat. We are seeking a technical co-founder to join our journey.

The Role: Co-Founder & CTO

Join the founding team as Co-Founder & CTO to lead the technical direction and ensure the long-term scalability of Pump.Sports. This is an equity-only role initially, offering significant ownership, influence, and a meaningful stake, sharing the same risk profile as existing founders.

What You'll Work On

  • Defining and owning the technical direction of the platform.
  • Building and iterating on the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
  • Translating customer feedback into actionable product decisions.
  • Making pragmatic tradeoffs between build quality and speed.
  • Preparing the product for early customer adoption.

Who This Is a Good Fit For

  • Strong background in software development with proficiency in: ReactJS, AngularJS, Node.js, Rust, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, PHP, and HTML.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure management, including cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines), system design principles, and API integrations.
  • Proven experience building and shipping a Web3 product (early stage experience is acceptable).
  • Interest in ownership and influence, beyond just a title.
  • Ability to commit meaningful time alongside other responsibilities.

Equity & Commitment

  • Equity: 10–20% (depending on fit and involvement).
  • Vesting: Standard founder vesting.
  • Salary: None initially, until the seed round is closed.
  • Time Commitment: ~25–40 hrs/week preferred (Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week).
  • Pay: $1.00 per year.
  • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time.
