Join Uni Systems in turning digital visions into reality. We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Operations Specialist to join our UniQue team.
Key Responsibilities: Cloud Operations and Management
- Manage the technical operations of the Open Source Labs.
- Provision and maintain cloud resources, primarily within AWS.
- Install and maintain open-source solutions tested within the labs.
- Propose and implement improvements to streamline lab maintenance processes.
- Monitor systems for overall health, downtime, errors, and malicious activity.
- Provide technical support to users (e.g., feature exploration, access rights, testing support).
- Offer user support and technical expertise for the self-hosted GitLab instance, ensuring a customer-centric approach.
- Analyse and optimise the performance of information systems.
- Offer support and guidance on CI/CD-related topics.
- Develop in-house solutions based on departmental needs and publish them as part of the open-source portfolio.
- Contribute to internal and external open-source projects when time permits.
Required Skills & Experience: Cloud Operations Specialist
- Master's degree in IT and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's in IT and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Good knowledge of virtualization technologies.
- Experience administering systems in a virtualized Cloud environment.
- Experience proposing and setting up security and backup policies on cloud infrastructure.
- Experience provisioning, configuring, optimising, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications in the cloud.
- Experience with open source is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Up-to-date experience in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
- Experience working with git platforms such as Gitlab.
- Experience working on large projects/services, coupled with experience with large stakeholders2 community groups at EU scale.
- Proficiency in English language at a minimum B2 level.
Experience in implementing service offerings and working in an ITIL environment will be considered an advantage.
