About the Role

GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC is looking for a hands-on Cloud Computing Specialist I to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performing applications across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud in a remote work environment. You will build and manage CI/CD pipelines, provide Tier 2/3 support, and ensure mission-critical systems run reliably in a 24x7x365 environment.

This role is ideal for a proactive Cloud Computing Specialist I who thrives in multi-cloud environments, contributes to end-to-end solutions, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges while optimizing cloud performance and scalability.

What Will the Candidate Do?

The Cloud Computing Specialist I will optimize and manage multi-cloud infrastructure, serve as a subject matter expert for architecture and high-availability design, provide Tier 2/3 support and implementation guidance, collaborate on project delivery, align cloud solutions with business needs, and create tools and documentation to support complex cloud operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support cloud optimization activities; performance and cost.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for end-to-end cloud architecture, including current and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management.
  • Defines optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications.
  • Ensures delivered solutions are realized in the time frame committed; works with project owners to size, scope, and identify risk.
  • Provides technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving an issue, including determining and providing workaround solutions or escalation to owners.
  • Ensures delivered solutions meet technical and functional/non-functional performance requirements within.
  • Use a standardized process for mapping business needs to available cloud technology options, including assessment of risks and possible mitigations.
  • Provide implementation guidance/support to the customer throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develop tools and documentation to enable support organizations to resolve customer issues, including complex technical scenarios dealing with cloud architecture.

What Will the Candidate Bring?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud computing or cloud systems administration including hands-on experience in the design, deployment, and administration of cloud environments utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Prior experience of providing 24x7 support, and ability to provide on-call support after hours or weekends.
  • Experience using coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.
  • Experience architecting and building scalable, automated infrastructure
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, code-defined infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD
  • Experience with AWS Lambda and “Serverless” systems
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments
  • Experience in a consultative, client-facing consulting role
  • Understanding of load balancing, geo-redundancy, CDN, and VPN technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate / Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect or Engineer, CompTIA Cloud+, Security+, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and DevSecOps frameworks.

Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and procedures; actively participate in mandatory security awareness training; and manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company protocols and data protection standards.

Ability to obtain a security clearance.

This work is normally completed in a remote environment.

Physical demands

  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.
