Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s technology strategy aligned with overall business goals, emphasizing innovation in AI, cloud infrastructure, and system design.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure including WAN networks, cloud development (AWS, Azure), cybersecurity measures (firewalls, FISMA compliance), and disaster recovery plans based on NIST standards.
  • Oversee software development projects utilizing Agile methodologies with expertise in React, Angular, Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, C#, PHP, SQL databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), MongoDB, and Linux environments.
  • Manage IT governance frameworks such as ITIL and ISO standards to ensure compliance with PCI regulations and FISMA requirements while maintaining robust risk management protocols.
  • Drive innovation through research and integration of emerging technologies like natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), AI applications, APIs development, and distributed systems architecture.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in product management, system design, application development, DevOps practices, and IT management to foster a collaborative environment focused on excellence.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with vendors for cloud services (AWS/Azure), cybersecurity tools, ERP systems integration (SAP or equivalent), and other enterprise solutions while negotiating contracts effectively.
  • Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness by implementing information security policies aligned with ISO standards and ensuring business continuity planning is in place for critical operations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles such as CTO or VP of Technology within fast-paced organizations with a focus on innovation-driven environments.
  • Extensive background in computer science or related fields with hands-on expertise in software development languages including JavaScript (React/Angular), Python, Java, C#, PHP; database management using SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB; and Linux-based systems.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components such as WAN networks, cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure), SDLC processes, DevOps practices, APIs integration & management.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale projects utilizing Agile methodologies; experience with project management tools is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse technical teams; ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like FISMA/NIST standards; familiarity with disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards including PCI DSS; experience negotiating vendor contracts; expertise in risk management and analysis skills are highly valued.
