Backend Developer (Elixir) for Tellent Recruitee ATS

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and Scale: Contribute to building reliable, scalable solutions for our core product, Tellent Recruitee, an innovative Applicant Tracking System (ATS) utilized globally.
• Balanced Development: Split time between building new customer capabilities and modernizing the existing codebase to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Collaborative Impact: Influence solution architecture, participating in technical discussions and aligning system design with business objectives.
• Ownership of Tasks: Take responsibility for delivered features, ensuring they are well-tested and meet quality standards, supported by experienced teammates on architectural decisions.
• Maintenance & Debugging: Ensure a stable user experience by identifying and fixing bugs and maintaining existing applications.
• Teamwork: Engage in regular pair programming and real-time problem solving to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What You Bring (Required Skills)

• Backend Expertise: Track record in Elixir programming OR a strong motivation to transition to Elixir after gaining commercial experience in Ruby on Rails or other backend technologies like Python, Java, or PHP.
• System Design: Proven experience building scalable applications and solid knowledge of databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Search & Tooling: General knowledge of ElasticSearch and RabbitMQ.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong debugging skills and a pragmatic approach to maintaining applications, emphasizing quality and error-free solutions.
• Product Thinking: Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and think deeply about solving the right problems for users, not just implementing specifications.
• Linguistic Skills: Good command of Polish and at least an intermediate level of English (B2) for effective contribution to technical discussions and documentation.

Salary Range (Poland)

• For B2B: 20.000 - 28.000 PLN + VAT and 30 paid break days.
• For an employee contract: 16.600 - 23.200 PLN and 26 paid holiday days + 2 wellbeing days each year.
