Middle Backend Developer
Come and push your journey to the next level!
A Taste of What You’ll Do
The Middle Backend Developer is responsible for building and maintaining backend services that integrate third-party game providers into our platform. This role encompasses the entire technical lifecycle of an integration, from provider specification and implementation to ongoing production support. You will own the reliability of services handling game launches, bet and win transactions, and provider callbacks. This position is ideal for a developer comfortable working with external specifications and third-party systems beyond their direct control.
- Implement and maintain integrations with third-party game providers using PHP/Laravel, based on provider API specifications and integration documents.
- Manage game transaction flows — launch, bet, win, rollback, reconciliation.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Investigate and resolve integration issues with providers, including direct technical liaison with their engineering contacts.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents affecting game availability or player transactions, participating in the on-call rota.
- Write and maintain automated tests, including coverage of provider edge cases and failure modes.
- Participate in code review, sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
- Keep integration documentation current, including provider-specific behavior and known quirks.
- Apply secure development practices and ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and data protection requirements.
- Support and mentor junior developers within the team.
- Perform any other related tasks or responsibilities connected to your role as a Middle Backend Developer.
