Application Support Engineer

We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to join our team. This full-time role involves working with a diverse team based in New York and globally. The Application Support Engineer reports to the VP of Technical Support and collaborates closely with Customer Success, Product, Sales, and Engineering teams.

Note: This is a customer-facing role focused on front-end technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML), not a traditional IT role. Extensive front-end experience is required, with minimal back-end experience needed. An initial screening will assess this.

Core Goals and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with, learn from, and contribute to a strong team of Support colleagues and cross-company teams.
  • Quickly familiarize yourself with a robust suite of APIs and supporting documentation.
  • Utilize JavaScript extensively to assist clients with issue resolution, build demos, and create helpful resources.
  • Confidently provide technical advice and recommendations to customers and colleagues.

Experience and Skills:

Must haves:

  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A strong, self-driven work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot, find answers, ask questions, and collaborate effectively.
  • A strong understanding of front-end technologies. (This role is not suitable for server technology specialists, hardware/software support, or traditional IT roles.)
  • Very strong JavaScript skills.
  • Proficiency in PHP or the ability to quickly gain proficiency.
  • One or more years of experience in a technical role.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Great to have:

  • BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Two or more years of experience as a front-end developer.
  • Technical Writing Experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, .NET, NodeJS, or Java (bonus).
