Responsibilities

At WPMU DEV, we host and power websites utilized by millions daily. We are actively seeking experienced WordPress Support Specialists to join our mission of delivering unparalleled support within the WordPress ecosystem. Ideal candidates will demonstrate politeness, patience, and understanding with our customers.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing exceptional support to our valued members and customers.
  • Promptly responding to and debugging issues reported by customers concerning their websites, WordPress plugins, or hosting services.
  • Engaging actively and helpfully in the WordPress.org forums.
  • Assisting customers with their WordPress problems by logging into their sites, diagnosing issues, and proposing effective solutions.
  • Crafting clear and helpful responses to customer inquiries via email, chat, and our forum.
  • Offering knowledgeable recommendations for solutions to address customer feature requests.
  • Generating clear and detailed bug reports for escalation to our developers and Second Level Support Team.
  • Thoroughly documenting and summarizing tests or troubleshooting steps for effective communication with both customers and colleagues.
  • Expertly assisting with and resolving a wide range of WordPress questions.
  • Being an active and contributing member of the Incsub team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with WordPress.
  • Proficiency in coding with PHP, CSS, MySQL, and HTML.
  • Strong knowledge of the WordPress platform, including WordPress hooks & filters.
  • Ability to diagnose WordPress issues by isolating factors and providing resolutions.
  • Understanding of browser console errors and debugging using developer tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, characterized by kindness, supportiveness, and friendliness.
  • A strong team player, enthusiastic about contributing to a growing, motivated, and distributed support team.
  • Commitment to impressive response times, efficient typing speed, and the ability to deliver quality work under deadlines.
  • Fluent in English for effective communication.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week).
