Job Description
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Plugin Developer with strong expertise in PHP, API development, and WordPress plugin architecture. In this role, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress plugins that are scalable, secure, and performance-optimized. You will collaborate with our design and development teams to create seamless user experiences and extend WordPress functionality through powerful backend integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins using PHP and WordPress APIs.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to integrate third-party services.
- Optimize plugins for speed, scalability, and security.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across plugins and API integrations.
- Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Ensure full compatibility with the latest versions of WordPress and popular themes.
- Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and QA teams to ensure feature alignment.
- Maintain version control using Git and manage releases.
- Write technical documentation and user guides for developed features or plugins.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in WordPress development, PHP, and related technologies.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with PHP, MySQL, and WordPress development.
- Solid understanding of WordPress plugin architecture and coding standards.
- Hands-on experience with WordPress REST API and third-party API integrations.
- Experience with custom post types, shortcodes, AJAX, and WordPress hooks/filters.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery) is a plus.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and performance optimization techniques.
- Understanding of security best practices for WordPress and API development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
