Remote WordPress Developer (UK)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We seek a talented and motivated WordPress Developer, welcoming candidates from entry-level (0 years) up to senior professionals (10 years experience). This is a fully remote role within the United Kingdom. The successful candidate must possess the right to work in the UK (Valid Work Visa). You will focus on designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites and plugins for diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
• Build responsive, user-friendly websites utilizing WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Manage WordPress site performance, including speed optimization and security enhancements.
• Collaborate with designers, content teams, and project managers to implement website features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across various WordPress environments.
• Integrate APIs, third-party tools, and custom functionality.
• Ensure all websites adhere to SEO best practices and accessibility standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes and updates.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Experience with WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, hooks, and filters.
• Proficiency in core web technologies: PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Experience utilizing popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).
• Understanding of MySQL and general database concepts.
• Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques and caching tools.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setup.

Pay: £30,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
