Part-Time Remote WordPress Developer (Contract)
We are seeking a motivated WordPress Developer to join our team remotely on a part-time contractor basis (4–12 hours per week), with potential for growth. This role is perfect for someone passionate about crafting dynamic, user-friendly websites and transforming ideas into engaging digital experiences.
You will work on diverse projects, including web designs, site builds, and collaborating with our SEO team to execute blog optimizations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with designers and content creators to implement visually appealing and user-centric layouts using web design best practices.
- Integrate various plugins, themes, and APIs, including RESTful APIs and web services, to enhance website functionality.
- Optimize websites for SEO, responsiveness, and fast load times across all devices using responsive web design techniques.
- Conduct testing of website features through unit testing and debugging to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Manage version control and deployment workflows utilizing GitHub, SVN, or similar tools within CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain documentation of system architecture, user flows, and technical specifications.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience developing with WordPress, including theme customization and plugin integration.
- Strong front-end development skills: HTML, CSS (including SCSS), JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, Angular, or React.
- Proficiency in PHP.
- Familiarity with server-side technologies such as Linux, Tomcat, or Apache for hosting WordPress sites.
- Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server, or MongoDB.
