We are seeking a WordPress Back-End & DevOps Developer to enhance the performance, security, and stability of our web infrastructures. We are looking for someone who thrives on code, infrastructure, security, and server management, not on font selection or block alignment.
Your Responsibilities
Infrastructure, Server, and Deployment Management (30%)
- Server Management & Optimization: Ensure server configuration, performance, stability, and health monitoring.
- Network Architecture & DNS: Configure and optimize DNS zones, and manage advanced caching.
- Deployments & Migrations: Oversee migrations from development to production environments and manage deployment processes.
- Backup Strategy: Implement, verify, and automate contingency, backup, and disaster recovery plans.
Preventive Maintenance, Security, and Performance (25%)
- Monthly Preventive Maintenance: Lead critical update cycles, security hardening, and vulnerability monitoring for the ecosystem.
- Performance Optimization: Guarantee loading speed and overall stability of managed websites.
- Advanced Technical SEO: Innovate data structures, implement complex semantic markup, custom schemas, and optimize technical architecture for search engines.
Back-End Development & High-Level Debugging (30%)
- Complex Technical Debugging: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex PHP errors, slow SQL queries, plugin conflicts, API issues, or code-related display breaks.
- Custom Development: Create functionalities via hooks (Hooks/Filters), modify the functions.php file, and structure databases.
- Advanced Ecosystem Mastery: Leverage the full potential of powerful tools like WordPress, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), and WPML for complex multilingual architectures.
- Connections & Integrations: Develop and maintain bridges between WordPress and third-party tools (CRM, ERP, payment gateways) via REST APIs or Webhooks.
Standardization, R&D, and Internal Support (15%)
- Web Tool Selection & Audit: Evaluate the technical viability, security, and performance of third-party extensions and SaaS tools before agency adoption.
- Standardization & Templates: Create uniform processes, server configuration templates, and document network architectures.
- Documentation & Guides: Rigorously document technical processes and create clear guides for the internal team or autonomous clients.
- Advanced Technical Support: Provide essential support to the project management team or designers during major technical blockers.
Your Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- College or university degree in computer science or web development (or a related field).
- Proficiency in French and strong knowledge of English (oral and written).
- AI enthusiast (Claude) - an asset.
- Technical Expertise: WordPress, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), WPML (Multilingual), PHP, SQL.
- DevOps / Systems: Server management (Digital Ocean, GridPane, CloudFlare, GoDaddy, etc.), DNS, staging/live environments.
- Soft Skills: Autonomy, strong problem-solving ability, strategic vision, rigor in task follow-up.
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
