About the Role
We are a local company, we sell clothes, shoes and san diego padres merchandise. We are CaliWearSD and we are looking for a talented and motivated Website Developer to join our team. This is a fully remote position for someone who enjoys building, maintaining, and improving modern, responsive websites. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain responsive websites.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
- Collaborate with team members to implement new features and improvements.
- Ensure websites are compatible across browsers and devices.
- Perform routine updates, security checks, and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Proficiency with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, or Angular is a plus).
- Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of PHP, APIs, or backend development is a plus.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in a remote work environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Git/GitHub.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify.
- Basic UI/UX design knowledge.
- Experience working in a remote team.
