About You
We are seeking a skilled and creative Website Building Specialist to develop user-friendly custom websites for small, independent retailers in the flooring and home improvement sectors. This role involves transforming existing websites into high-quality, brand-enhancing platforms. Expertise in custom WordPress theme and plugin development, website performance optimization, and ensuring seamless user experience is essential.

What You'll Do
- Build and customize responsive, accessible, and user-friendly WordPress websites for customers.
- Update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to maintain website security, performance, and compatibility.
- Design and develop custom elements and plugins to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Collaborate with the design team to implement creative and functional website designs, optimized for mobile.
- Identify and resolve bugs, errors, and performance issues, conducting regular checks for smooth website operation.
We're Looking For Someone With
- Proven experience developing websites with WordPress.
- Experience with WordPress themes and plugins, including custom development and troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first principles.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, well-tested websites.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
