Web Developer (Front-End / CMS Specialist)

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Web Developer who can translate design concepts into functional, high-quality digital experiences. This role sits at the intersection of design and development, responsible for building websites, EDMs, and digital platforms with precision, responsiveness, and performance in mind.

You will work closely with designers, strategists, and project managers to bring ideas to life across web, email, and platform environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Front-End Development & Build

• Translate UI/UX designs (Figma, Adobe AI, etc.) into clean, responsive HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ensure pixel-accurate implementation across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Build reusable components and scalable front-end structures
• Optimise websites for speed, performance, and accessibility

2. Website & CMS Development (WordPress)

• Develop and customise WordPress themes and templates
• Build CMS-driven websites with flexible content structures
• Integrate plugins, APIs, and third-party tools where required
• Ensure ease of content management for internal and client teams

3. EDM / Email Development

• Code responsive HTML emails compatible across major clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.)
• Optimise for deliverability and performance
• Work with marketing teams to deploy campaigns where needed

4. Portal & Platform Development

• Support development of microsites, portals, and lightweight web applications
• Implement user flows, forms, dashboards, and interactive elements
• Collaborate on backend integrations where required

5. Quality Assurance & Testing

• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing
• Debug and resolve front-end issues efficiently
• Ensure consistency with design intent and brand guidelines

6. Collaboration & Workflow

• Work closely with designers to ensure feasibility and fidelity of execution
• Partner with project managers to meet timelines and delivery expectations
• Provide technical input during concept and planning stages

Requirements & Skills

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design frameworks
• Proven experience building and customising WordPress CMS websites
• Familiarity with email development best practices (EDMs)
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to interpret design files accurately
• Experience with Figma
• Basic knowledge of SEO, web performance optimisation, and accessibility standards

Nice to Have

• Experience with PHP (for WordPress customisation)
• Familiarity with modern JS frameworks
• Experience with API integrations
• Exposure to hosting environments, deployment, and maintenance
• Motion or interaction knowledge
