About the Role
We’re looking for a Web Developer to build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites for our clients. You’ll spend much of your time inside page builders like Elementor, translating Figma designs into pixel-close production pages, and collaborating with the rest of the team through Git. You’ll also use modern AI tools — including Claude Code — to mock up and ship pages faster.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys both the craft of clean implementation and the speed of modern AI-assisted workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Build and edit WordPress sites using Elementor and similar page builders (Divi, WPBakery, Bricks, etc.)
- Convert Figma designs into responsive, working pages that match the design as closely as possible
- Use AI development tools (Claude Code and similar) to mock up and generate pages, components, and full sites from Figma files
- Collaborate with the team through Git — branches, pull requests, code review, and resolving merge conflicts
- Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing client sites
- Apply on-page SEO and performance best practices to everything you ship
Required Skills
- WordPress + page builders: Strong hands-on experience with Elementor; familiarity with at least one other major builder
- Git & team workflows: Comfortable with branching, pull requests, merges, code review, and resolving conflicts in a team setting
- Front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript, responsive design
- AI-assisted development: Practical experience using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar to ship real work — not just experiments
- Figma to web: Ability to read a Figma file (auto-layout, components, tokens) and translate it accurately into a live page
- Communication: Clear written communication and reliable async collaboration
Nice to Have
- Design sensibility — typography, spacing, hierarchy, color (a real plus, since much of the work is matching Figma faithfully)
- Custom WordPress theme or child-theme development
- PHP for builder extensions or custom blocks
- Local SEO familiarity
- Site speed optimization experience (Core Web Vitals, caching, image optimization)
