Web Developer and Designer
We are looking for a highly skilled Web Developer and Designer with primary experience in WordPress and Go HighLevel. This 1099 Contractor role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing high-performance websites for small businesses and internal brands. The position demands strong technical execution, keen design instincts, and deep platform knowledge, particularly with WordPress and Go HighLevel.
This is a hands-on role where speed, accuracy, and problem-solving are crucial. Projects move quickly, with some builds requiring completion within a week or less. This position is for an individual contractor only; we are not hiring agencies or overseas contractors.
Portfolio Requirement
This is mandatory: You must provide live website URLs that you personally built or led. Performance and page speed will be reviewed. Applications without live URLs of your created work will be denied.
Engagement Type
- 1099 Contractor
- Hourly and per project, depending on scope and experience.
- Hourly range: $20 to $50 per hour.
- Availability varies based on workload and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Build websites from concept through launch.
- Design clean, conversion-focused layouts.
- Develop and customize WordPress and Go HighLevel websites.
- Migrate and rebuild sites into Go HighLevel.
- Troubleshoot plugins, conflicts, and performance issues quickly.
- Optimize page speed and Core Web Vitals.
- Implement CRO best practices across pages and funnels.
- Maintain, improve, and scale existing websites.
- Ensure sites meet performance, security, and UX standards.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Required Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)
- Expert-level WordPress backend knowledge.
- Strong Go HighLevel experience with websites, funnels, and automations.
- WooCommerce expertise, including advanced shipping rules.
- Proficiency with page builders such as Elementor, Avada, and WP Bakery.
- Strong HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript knowledge.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, testable code.
- Deep understanding of site performance optimization.
- Achieve Core Web Vitals passing scores.
- Google PageSpeed Insights 85+ on mobile.
- GTmetrix A or B performance targets.
- CRO-focused mindset for layouts, CTAs, and forms.
- API integrations and webhook experience.
Nice to Have Skills
- Hosting and migration experience.
- DNS, SSL, Cloudflare familiarity.
- VPS or managed hosting environments.
- Advanced SEO implementation experience.
