About the Role

Summit Edge Marketing is looking for an experienced WordPress developer to build, manage, and maintain websites for our clients in the home services and contracting industries. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows WordPress.org inside and out. If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple sites at once, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• New WordPress.org websites
• Customize themes and plugins to meet client and brand requirements
• Manage ongoing site maintenance, updates, backups, and security
• Troubleshoot bugs, broken layouts, and plugin conflicts
• Optimize sites for speed, mobile responsiveness, and on-page SEO
• Implement landing pages, lead forms, and basic conversion tracking
• Coordinate with our marketing team on design and content updates

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and managing WordPress.org sites
• Strong working knowledge of themes, page builders (Elementor, Divi, or similar), and core plugins
• Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and basic PHP for customization
• Experience with hosting environments, DNS, and migrations
• Understanding of website security, backups, and performance optimization
• Self-directed and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines remotely
• Clear communicator with reliable availability during business hours

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with on-page SEO best practices
• Basic graphic editing skills (Photoshop, Canva, or similar)
• Experience working with home services or local business clients

Pay: $25.17 - $30.31 per hour
