Duties

  • Design and develop responsive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap and React.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups employing tools like Axure, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, Figma, and InVision to visualise concepts effectively.
  • Implement interaction design principles to enhance user engagement and usability across various devices.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve website functionality.
  • Optimise websites for SEO best practices using analytics tools such as Google Analytics and implement content management systems like WordPress and Drupal.
  • Maintain existing websites through regular updates, troubleshooting, and optimisation to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with developers using Git, Node.js, Redux, PHP, MySQL, SQL, and other technologies for seamless front-end integration.
  • Utilise Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign) for graphic design and multimedia content creation.
  • Ensure adherence to information architecture principles for intuitive navigation and site structure.
  • Stay current with industry trends in web design, UX/UI best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance skill set.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio demonstrating web design projects.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (including AJAX), and responsive web design techniques.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap and React; experience with Node.js is advantageous.
  • Skilled in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Balsamiq, Visio, and Axure.
  • Knowledge of content management systems like WordPress and Drupal; experience with website maintenance is essential.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles coupled with user research methods to inform design decisions.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics for data analysis and optimisation strategies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git; knowledge of PHP and MySQL databases is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
