Remote Full Stack Web Developer (Part-Time, 6-Month Contract)

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications and websites, emphasizing responsive, user-friendly interfaces and robust server-side solutions. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient digital solutions, enhancing user experience and meeting business objectives.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in full stack development, specifically with big data web applications and DevOps tools.
  • Expertise in technologies including: Django/Python, Apache Airflow, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, TimescaleDB, VueJS, JavaScript, Ajax, Docker, Git, Ansible, and Linux.
  • Proven experience in full-stack web development demonstrated by a strong project portfolio.
  • Front-End Proficiency: HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), JavaScript (including jQuery), Angular, React Native, Bootstrap.
  • Back-End Proficiency: Solid skills using Java (Spring Framework), Python (Django), PHP (WordPress), Ruby on Rails, or .NET frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Django and PostgreSQL data management, evidenced by relevant assignments or certification.
  • Experience with database optimization techniques for MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, and familiarity with GraphQL.
  • Understanding of system architecture, OOP principles, and MVC design patterns.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Ansible or Jenkins for automation, and version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, Vue.js, and related frameworks.
  • Build and maintain server-side components using languages such as Java, Python, PHP, C#, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services for seamless cross-platform data exchange.
  • Manage and optimize databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, SQLite).
  • Integrate third-party services (SOAP, GraphQL, APIs) to extend application functionality.
  • Implement effective data visualization features for complex data insights.
  • Utilize version control tools (GitHub, SVN, Visual Studio) for code management.
  • Set up and maintain development environments using DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams using Trello or Jira.
  • Ensure adherence to website SEO best practices to improve visibility.
  • Conduct unit testing and code reviews to maintain code quality.
  • Participate actively in the SDLC, from planning through deployment.
  • Work with UI/UX teams to create intuitive, engaging interfaces.
