Tracking Implementation Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Tracking Implementation Engineer to ensure flawless data accuracy across all marketing funnels, pixels, and experimentation platforms. This technical operator will own GTM and pixel deployment, monitor data integrity across major ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, Blotout), and manage A/B testing implementation. The role also involves maintaining lightweight automations for error detection and supporting the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) team with minor PHP or JavaScript changes and Shopify integrations. Key Responsibilities:
Tracking & Implementation
- Deploy and maintain marketing pixels across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Google, and Blotout.
- Manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers, event triggers, and data layers.
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and validate event firing across landing pages and checkout flows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies between analytics platforms and ad reporting tools.
- Automate alerts to detect when critical tracking events fail or stop firing.
Experimentation & CRO
- Implement and QA A/B tests on landing pages utilizing PHP, HTML, or JavaScript.
- Validate experiment setup, conversion tracking mechanisms, and split logic integrity.
- Collaborate closely with CRO analysts to ensure clean data collection and rapid test rollouts.
Light Shopify & Integration Work
- Update product and catalog IDs, install and configure necessary Shopify apps, and manage metafields.
- Handle basic Liquid or script edits to maintain tracking accuracy within the Shopify environment.
- Integrate Shopify data flows seamlessly with analytics and tracking tools.
Monitoring & Reliability
- Develop uptime and pixel health checks using custom scripts or monitoring tools (e.g., UptimeRobot, Pingdom).
- Configure notifications for errors or downtime that impact conversion tracking performance.
- Support performance optimization efforts through caching or Content Delivery Network (CDN) configurations.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of technical experience in marketing, tracking, or Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) roles.
- Hands-on expertise with GTM, GA4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and Blotout implementation.
- Working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Shopify for ensuring data accuracy and managing app integration.
- Experience utilizing A/B testing platforms (such as Google Optimize, VWO, or custom frameworks).
- Git/GitHub experience preferred for version control practices.
- Possess a strong QA mindset, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate proactive communication skills.

- Pixel accuracy rate (percentage of verified events firing).
- Time-to-deploy or time-to-fix tracking issues.
- Split test deployment speed and QA pass rate.
- Uptime percentage across critical funnels.
- Reduction in tracking or attribution errors.
