What You Will Do:
Lead Service Development
- Own the end-to-end service development lifecycle, from initial conceptualization through deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables are met within specified timelines.
Architectural Design
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to design resilient and scalable service architectures that fulfill business requirements while adhering to industry best practices and standards.
Technical Leadership
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the development team, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
Code Review and Quality Assurance
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards, performance optimization, and maintainability. Implement robust testing strategies to maintain product quality.
AWS Expertise
- Leverage extensive experience with AWS services (such as ECS, S3, Lambda, and others) to architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions.
Financial Industry Integration
- Apply understanding of financial industry requirements to customize solutions that address integration needs and comply with regulatory standards.
- Develop a deep understanding of current infrastructure and identify improvements to keep Kapitus at the forefront of FinTech innovation.
Agile Methodologies
- Drive agile development practices within the team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, ensuring efficient delivery and continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product management, QA, operations) to ensure development efforts align with overall business objectives.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development as a tech lead or senior/staff developer, specializing in backend service development.
- Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services development and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in microservices design and development utilizing Java, Spring Boot, OpenAPI, and Python.
- Experience with relational databases (MSSQL and MySQL) and NoSQL DBs.
- Proven experience designing and architecting scalable, high-performance systems.
- Experience in the financial industry is highly preferred.
- Experience with PHP is highly preferred.
- In-depth understanding of agile methodologies and experience leading agile teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Kapitus Total Rewards Package Includes:
- Competitive Base Salary Range of $117,800-$189,000. (Final salary depends on geographic location, skills, and experience.)
