Kapitus is seeking a highly experienced Tech Lead / Software Engineer III to lead a dynamic service development team. This role is crucial for the design, development, and implementation of scalable, efficient cloud native services that align with Kapitus’s mission to provide financing solutions for small businesses.
You will leverage extensive expertise in AWS, microservices architecture, and modern backend technologies to build resilient systems, helping Kapitus remain at the forefront of FinTech innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end service development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable and resilient service architectures, adhering to industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and implement robust testing strategies to ensure performance optimization and maintainability.
- Utilize extensive AWS expertise to architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions, leveraging services such as ECS, S3, and Lambda.
- Apply understanding of financial industry requirements to tailor solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Drive Agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product Management, QA, Operations) to align development efforts with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development, specifically focusing on backend service development, in a tech lead or senior/staff developer capacity.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services development and infrastructure management.
- Expertise in microservices design and development using Java, Spring Boot, OpenAPI, and Python.
- Experience with relational databases (MSSQL and MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience designing and architecting scalable, high-performance systems.
- In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial industry (FinTech).
- Experience with PHP.
