Senior Full Stack Developer / Tech Lead (Laravel, Vue.js, AWS Architecture)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer / Tech Lead to serve as a technical anchor for our engineering team. This pivotal role requires balancing hands-on coding execution with technical leadership, mentoring teammates, and partnering with engineering leadership to establish and enforce team standards and architectural patterns. You will drive the team toward delivering high-quality, production-ready software.

Our core technology stack includes Laravel 12, Vue.js, MySQL, Redis, and TailwindCSS.

Technical Leadership & Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering leadership to establish and enforce coding standards and architectural patterns.
• Contribute actively to technical planning, sprint grooming, and critical architecture decisions.
• Own the code review process, ensuring team adherence to established quality standards.
• Help assess the technical feasibility of new features and initiatives.
• Onboard and mentor new team members, fostering technical growth.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve the overall developer experience.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical problems.

Development & Operations (What You'll Do):

• Develop, test, and maintain full-stack functionality using PHP 8.4 and Laravel 12.x.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for internal and external applications.
• Create responsive UIs using Vue.js 2.x+ and TailwindCSS based on wireframes and mockups.
• Design and optimize database schemas in MySQL; utilize DynamoDB for appropriate workloads.
• Manage AWS infrastructure, including RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and related services.
• Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing CodeBuild and CodePipeline.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel/PHP.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Vue.js.
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring developers.
• Highly proficient in modern PHP 8.x, unit testing, and RESTful API design.
• Strong understanding of MySQL, covering schema design, optimization, and migrations.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Extensive experience with AWS services (RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, ElastiCache, CloudFront).
• Hands-on experience defining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (CodeBuild, CodePipeline) and deployment automation.
• Strong awareness of security best practices, data consistency, and atomic transaction logic.
• Ability to own a project end-to-end: R&D, architecture, documentation, and execution.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with leadership and team members.
• A product-focused mindset that effectively connects business value to technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• TypeScript proficiency.
• Experience or familiarity with Swift and SwiftUI.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Background working on high-scale SaaS platforms or mission-critical systems.
