Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Remote System Administrator to modernize our development infrastructure and streamline deployment processes. This critical role supports our growing team and complex compliance requirements while maintaining a collaborative, high-performance culture.
The ideal candidate will evolve our existing infrastructure, which includes cloud-based servers running Apache + PHP on Ubuntu. This is a fully remote position supporting workstations split between Windows and macOS.
You will bring structure and scalability to our systems, collaborating closely with developers and leadership to strengthen our AWS-based architecture, modernize internal tooling, and enhance security and compliance practices without disrupting distributed team productivity. This role involves supporting current systems and shaping future infrastructure foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Modernize secrets management: Implement enterprise-grade secrets management solutions.
- Automate AWS account provisioning: Streamline the setup and configuration of client AWS accounts, reducing manual effort.
- Establish compliance frameworks: Implement audit trails, logging, and documentation systems to meet HIPAA, trust certifications, and law firm confidentiality requirements.
- Manage multi-account AWS architecture: Design and maintain secure, cost-effective cloud infrastructure across multiple client environments.
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of system administration experience (experience across multiple tech stacks is a plus).
- Proficiency with containerization and virtualization technologies.
- Strong AWS expertise, including IAM, EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, RDS, and related services.
- Experience with internal software licensing and management.
- Deep understanding of security and compliance, including secrets management, audit logging, and access controls.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
