Role Description

You will technically own, discover, position, prove, and deliver the critical technical elements of the sales cycle to achieve a ‘technical win’ in complex, medium to large-scale customer environments. You will utilize a range of communication, technical, and soft skills to build trust relationships with both sales colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities include acting as an advocate and ambassador for Splunk via professional social media, industry events, and marketing activities, as well as supporting pipeline generation. You will collaborate with customer contacts, transforming them into Splunk champions by demonstrating how our solutions solve their most challenging problems and help them achieve their objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events (conferences, trade shows).
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with all levels within the customer organization.
  • Willingness to travel to visit prospects and customers, and engage in onsite customer work when required.
  • Answer complex technical and competitive questions and address customer concerns to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Experience with discovering pain points, building champions, and determining value for customers.
  • Comfortable working within a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
  • Collaborate with multiple Account Managers simultaneously to explore opportunities, drive discovery calls, and evaluate prospects to identify promising next steps.

Location Requirement: The candidate must be based in Dubai or one of the countries in the Middle East.

Helpful Technical Skills or Experience (Preferred)

  • Domain knowledge in data platforms for security and/or observability.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and concepts (LLMs, MCP, Time Series models, GenAI frameworks, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, Cloud Technologies, Application Delivery, Business Analytics, Log Management, Observability, and IT Security.
  • Insights into IT Operations, including experience with ITSM tools and ITIL processes (incident, problem, change).
  • Understanding of IT Monitoring, Security Monitoring, and Observability, including experience with tools for infrastructure, application performance monitoring (APM), and security event monitoring (SIEM) across logs, metrics, and traces.
  • Familiarity with modern application architecture (microservices), including Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda/serverless.
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and hands-on experience in engineering/software development using modern programming languages (Java, Python, PHP, .NET, Ruby, JS, Go, etc.).
  • Preferably, knowledge of the Splunk security portfolio or equivalent industry knowledge, including Splunk SIEM, threat hunting & detection, investigation, and response lifecycle.
