Solutions Engineer - Japanese Language Proficiency Required

We are seeking experienced Solutions Engineers to support prospective and existing customers in evaluating, testing, and implementing Apryse’s technology (SDKs). This role involves reviewing customer technical requirements and collaborating closely with clients to provide effective technical support and guidance throughout the evaluation phase, ensuring successful adoption of our technology.

As a Apryse technology evangelist, you will interpret and solve business requirements and challenges for customers across various industries. You will communicate closely with Apryse sales and product engineering stakeholders to align customer expectations with licensing options and proposals.

This role is ideal for a passionate developer who enjoys customer-facing engagement and wants to leverage their development knowledge to solve technical customer pain points and drive their success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide product demonstrations and assist with demo version installations or beta implementations of Apryse’s SDKs.
  • Proactively engage with customers via email or calls to assess technical pain points and scope key technical requirements regarding functionality, platforms, and file formats needed for their products or services.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and product engineering teams to review customer requirements and propose solutions that optimize value for both the customer and Apryse.
  • Provide customer feedback on requirements or usability of Apryse products to product engineering teams to align the Apryse product roadmap with market needs.
  • Debug customer application source code to diagnose and address errors/bugs, or provide implementation guidance.
  • Engage in Javascript and other applicable programming languages (Java, C#, C/C++) to develop and debug/support Apryse products.
  • Propose and adapt solutions as necessary to ensure appropriate support for all key customer stakeholders.
  • Manage all technical support tickets throughout the pre-sales process and alert the Apryse sales team of potential risks to sales opportunities.
  • Work with Apryse sales associates to enhance their product knowledge and technical acumen.
  • Stay informed about competitor solutions, electronic document standards, industry developments, trends, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience developing complex software projects with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar program.
  • 2+ years of experience in solutions architecture, solution integration/delivery, troubleshooting/debugging, or equivalent customer-facing technical issue resolution.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is required.
  • Solid experience with web development technologies and frameworks (C#, PHP, ASP.NET, HTML5 Stack, JQuery, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, RESTful APIs), Internet architecture, and mobile application development (Android, iOS, UWP).
  • JavaScript expertise (or willingness to learn) and up-to-date knowledge of latest trends (ES6/7, CSS3, React/Angular, NPM/Yarn, Webpack/Parcel, responsive web design, etc.).
  • Portfolio (GitHub or technical blogs) and experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain focus and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, self-managed, and highly dependable.

Assets:

  • Experience with C/C++ development is a plus.
  • Knowledge and/or interest in computer graphics, document formats/processing (PDF, SVG, XPS, PostScript), image compression technologies, and AI.
  • Flexibility and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong initiative, drive, and thirst for knowledge.
