YOUR DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Educating prospects on various platform solutions (e.g., BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, WordPress, etc.) by providing a consultative, best practices approach.
- Conducting analysis and analytics to match platform solutions to the prospect’s business and technical requirements.
- Conducting needs analysis and technical scoping sessions with prospective customers to gather and document key requirements.
- Providing pre-sales technical consulting to the Sales staff through online demonstrations, conference calls, and site visits with project managers.
- Documenting prospective client needs and project requirements.
- Serving as a trusted advisor and the voice of the sales and marketing teams to prospects and partners.
- Collaborating closely with the sales team to respond to proposals and RFPs, ensuring all technical information and recommendations address client requirements.
- Working with third-party partners or solutions, where necessary, to develop custom solutions meeting prospect needs.
- Helping create thought leadership content, white papers, and other sales or marketing collateral highlighting agency capabilities for partners, prospects, and clients.
- Developing new processes and practices to ensure our teams operate as industry leaders in their respective fields.
- Keeping up to date with the latest features, capabilities, and applications released by different platforms to provide the best guidance to clients.
- Leading internal project planning and development of recurring solutions for frequent client needs (e.g., web application development for frequently requested e-commerce merchant features).
- Supporting design and project management team members during project discovery to anticipate UX best practices and scopes of work for future project phases.
- Providing emergency development support for key Coalition clients and major accounts.
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- 4-5+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in a relevant market or in a similar senior-level development position.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with various e-commerce and CMS platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, and WordPress.
- Experience in solution architecture, project scoping, and product demonstration skills.
- Comfort providing consultative presentations to C-level business executives, as well as engaging in detailed, in-depth discussions with technical audiences.
- Experience with commerce solutions and applications, including POS, product catalogs, order management, ERP, and payment gateways.
- Sales methodology and solution selling training (a plus).
- A charismatic, energetic, and self-starting personality.
- Ability to collaborate with and motivate multiple groups toward accomplishing a task.
- Strong verbal, presentation, written, and organizational skills, coupled with a passion for winning.
Compensation Disclosure: Starting base pay for this position in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado ranges between $22.50 - $35 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. Compensation outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado may fall outside these ranges.
