About the Role
We are seeking a Senior PHP Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable, high-quality full-stack applications within a collaborative, globally distributed team. This role combines advanced PHP 8, MVC architecture, database engineering, and containerized environments to deliver reliable, production-grade solutions with significant business impact. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using PHP 8.X, adhering to object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and the MVC pattern.
- Ensure compliance with PHPDOC specifications and PSR standards for clean, maintainable code.
- Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Efficiently handle data migrations and PHP version upgrades.
- Implement CSS and Responsive Web Design (RWD) principles for optimal user experiences across devices.
- Create and maintain Docker environments for application deployment.
- Test applications for functionality, security, and performance, proactively debugging and resolving issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience with PHP 8.X and strong object-oriented programming expertise.
- Solid knowledge of the MVC pattern.
- Practical experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience migrating between PHP versions.
- Proficiency in CSS and Responsive Web Design (RWD).
- Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems.
- Fundamentals of Docker, including creating Docker environments and Dockerfiles for Ubuntu.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PHPDOC specification and PSR standards.
- Experience modifying Docker containers for tool installation and execution.
- Knowledge of build scripts and Docker containers in CI/CD environments.
- Practical experience with Jenkins.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions.
- General CI/CD pipeline experience.
