Job Description
A Junior Software Engineer will contribute to software development by performing maintenance tasks and implementing new feature functionality. This role involves working closely with senior developers for guidance. The successful candidate will actively participate in an agile team, assisting with backlog item estimation and grooming. Responsibilities include ensuring the end product meets minimum quality standards, is fully functional, and provides a user-friendly experience.
Core Job Duties
- Develop and maintain user interface controls, business logic, and SQL Server stored procedures.
- Participate in the agile team to estimate and groom backlog items, plan development activities, and continuously improve the development process.
- Develop functionality adhering to isolved coding standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts to clarify requirements and debug software problems.
- Investigate and resolve third-level support requests.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of relevant web application/services development experience.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks and new development with support from senior developers.
- 1-3+ years of experience with large enterprise or e-business systems.
- Proven ability to follow prescribed steps for researching and solving complex technical problems.
- Strong skills in PHP, LINQ, SQL, Unit Testing, .NET, JavaScript, HTML.
- Experience with Knockout, Angular, Azure CosmosDB, or other NoSQL databases.
- Experience with extensive (500+ database table) system development is a plus.
- Eager to learn and grow within a dynamic software development environment.
