Job Description
Role: Software Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: Full-time contract, estimated 9 months with likely extension
Rate: $80-$95/hour W2, dependent on skills and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Build two essential client-facing tools: the test build change summary tool and the multi-file setup generator.
- Develop the front ends for the Executive Impact Dashboard and Test Classification Dashboard, consuming data provided by Data Engineer(s).
- Support PHP embedding of dashboards and tools into MCL's client-facing web properties.
- Assist with Compass integration for client-facing test build content as it becomes available.
- Participate in the validation of client-facing tools during Phase 4 readiness activities and provide defect resolution support during client testing (Phases 5–7).
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a software or application engineer, specifically building web-based tools or dashboards.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of PHP sufficient for embedding dashboards and tools into existing web pages.
- Proficiency in front-end development (e.g., JavaScript/HTML/CSS, or a modern framework) and experience integrating with backend data/APIs.
- Experience in building self-service or generator-style tools designed for external end users.
- Comfortable working with data models and APIs delivered by a dedicated data engineering team.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience developing client-facing tools within healthcare, laboratory, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Compass or similar product catalog/web content platforms.
- Experience with automated testing and validation for client-facing web applications.
