This is an exciting and fulfilling full-time, permanent role, pivotal to TSEG’s success. Working hours are typically 9 am to 5 pm, with flexible working options available. The role is remote (preferred) with an optional office location in the fantastic new office in the Jewellery Quarter.
Responsibilities, Experience & Requirements
We are looking for candidates with 3+ years of commercial experience in a software engineering role utilizing most of the required skills listed below.
Key Responsibilities and Required Skills:
- Building PHP applications utilising the latest versions of the Laravel framework.
- Proficient in SQL with a strong understanding of designing, querying, and optimising relational databases.
- Developing, documenting, and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company success.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork and cooperation: working cooperatively across departments to achieve shared goals.
- Good time-management.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have the desire to learn, self-reflect, and improve.
- Any other roles and responsibilities commensurate with the role at Managers’ request.
Ideal, but Not Essential Skills:
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and AlpineJS.
- Amazon AWS (RDS, EC2, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, auto-scaling, and CodeDeploy).
- Terraform.
- Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
- Developing unit tests.
The Package & Benefits
Salary: £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year.
