Job Summary
We are seeking an an experienced Software Engineer! As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, our reporting platform. You will review the queries created in our current platform (BIRT 4.6) and begin the process to redesign our current reports Jaspersoft plus create new reports The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a proven ability to produce functional code.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate the queries in our current code
- Develop software to meet those needs
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Fix bugs and address user concerns
- Update software as needed
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate well as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of relational databases
- Proficiency in MySQL, 5.7, Java, Jaspersoft and PHP is a plus
- Experience with one or more web frameworks
