Overview of the Position Responsibilities:

The Software Development Engineer will independently design, develop, modify, document, and deliver high-quality programming solutions tailored to specific business needs. This critical role involves diverse programming assignments, requiring expertise in established programming procedures and data processing methodologies. Responsibilities include maintaining and modifying Enterprise Business API Integrations, supporting the integration of new Business Applications, and managing improvements in orchestration, automation, and supporting documentation. The Software Development Engineer will collaborate with team members to enhance the performance of the Bluepeak IT platform.

What You Will Do:

  • Work with a team on complex projects and tasks involving multiple systems interactions and developers.
  • Successfully design and deliver quality development solutions on time and within budget.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for specific integrations.
  • Find solutions and identify integration methods into internal processes and systems with internal and external partners, as assigned.
  • Design and build integrations and software.
  • Perform unit tests on code to validate functionality.
  • Prepare necessary project documentation describing policy, process, and risk.
  • Provide updates and roadmaps on existing and future projects to internal and external partners.
  • Provide accurate development effort estimates for new projects to project owners.
  • Provide roadmaps for internal teams and management on projects and applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to define user experience in new and existing applications.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and a friendly atmosphere.
  • Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Strong proficiency in PHP, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Docker, and databases.
  • General understanding of basic systems, service, and network technologies.
  • Experience in building APIs for applications.
  • Understanding of various database systems such as Snowflake, Microsoft SQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, and MongoDB.
  • Understanding of time-series databases such as InfluxDB.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote.

Salary range: $80,000 - $105,000
