Key Responsibilities:

• Lead front-end software development for high-quality, production-ready websites and applications, translating modern UX/UI designs into clean, high-performance code.
• Implement and scale a robust design system across public-facing websites, standardizing the Figma-to-Drupal handoff to ensure a highly consistent and intuitive user experience.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead, Digital Analytics, to seamlessly integrate data tracking, measurement, and analytics into the front-end architecture.
• Ensure front-end application performance, adherence to modern UX standards, and strict compliance with accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG) across all digital touchpoints.
• Deliver functional software to production, collaborating with Infrastructure, Corporate Security, and DevOps teams during the development of Empire Life's digital platforms.
• Contribute to automated testing (unit, functional, and behavioral) to guarantee front-end application stability and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A passion for front-end development, design standards, and building highly consistent, user-centric experiences.
• 3+ years of proven experience with Drupal or similar enterprise content management systems, including implementing modern, component-based front-end workflows (e.g., Twig, Single Directory Components).
• Hands-on experience with Figma and a strong track record of converting design files and design tokens into scalable code.
• Advanced proficiency in HTML, modern CSS (Sass/Tailwind), JavaScript (Vanilla/React/Vue), and PHP.
• Experience or a strong interest in digital analytics integration, event tracking, and performance measurement.
• Logical thinking, analytical problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks, adaptability, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder communications and collaborate effectively with Graphic Design, Marketing, Data Analytics, and Technical Infrastructure teams.
• University degree, college diploma, vocational diploma, and/or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English is required for communicating with nationwide customers, advisors, and staff for positions open across Canada.
