Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement applications and integration projects.
• API design, development, and enabling technologies including REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and HTTP.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, planning, and implementing changes.
• Ability to create shell scripts, including those that import and export data.
• Comfortable using PHP.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and performance across browsers and devices.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure application stability and reliability.
• Stay informed of new technologies and contribute to innovation within the team.

Requirements

• Working experience with API design, development, and enabling technologies including REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and HTTP.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Enterprise-level development experience with PHP and modern PHP frameworks.
• Developing PHP web solutions and implementations.
• Working with APIs, integrating with external web services (REST, XML, JSON) or third-party tools.
• Adaptable and proactive at problem-solving and conflict resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Ability to focus and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Linux, JSON, Java, MySQL, PostgreSQL, XML, UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
• Experience with Progress OpenEdge development is a strong plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
