Job Summary: Shopify E-commerce Assistant (Remote)

We are hiring a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Shopify Assistant to manage and optimize our e-commerce platform. This role is crucial for maintaining the functionality, design, and performance of our online storefront, ensuring seamless integration with essential tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to web development projects, enhance user experience, and utilize a broad range of technical skills in a dynamic, remote team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update product listings and metadata for SEO optimization.
• Provide technical assistance with CSS modifications.
• Support Shopify theme customization and changes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with Shopify platform integrations and theme customization.
• Strong background in front-end development, including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and responsive web design principles.
• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) is highly valued.
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, SOAP web services, and API integration techniques.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment using tools like Jira or Trello; SDLC process experience is beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong cross-team communication skills.

Preferred Technical Familiarity:

• Backend technologies like PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, or ASP.NET.

Compensation & Logistics:

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 20.0 per week
