As a Sr. Tech Engineer at freshbenies, you will be a critical contributor in building stable, scalable, and intuitive systems supporting our member, broker, and employer clients. Reporting to the VP of Technology, you will collaborate with the freshbenies team and external partners to deliver user-centered solutions and ongoing platform enhancements.
Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and define clear specifications.
- Successfully lead and mentor 2 - 5 mid-level developers.
- Provide technical input during planning sessions to help shape priorities and timelines.
- Uphold best practices in performance, security, and scalability.
- Test and conduct QA across required devices and browsers.
- Troubleshoot and improve internal systems, data flows, and user interfaces.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of PHP/MySQL experience.
- 1+ years of Android and/or iOS app development experience.
- Requires strong AWS and system architecture experience to support scalable growth.
- Proficient using Jira to manage tasks, sprints, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong understanding of legacy system maintenance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (H-1B or other visa types are not sponsored).
