What this role could entail
- Lead the design and implementation of core systems for Runware’s AI platform.
- Develop and evolve backend APIs, SDKs, and developer tools for seamless AI integration.
- Integrate and optimize image and video models, with support for new modalities like audio and custom LLMs.
- Architect scalable, reliable systems for AI inference orchestration and workload optimization.
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to enhance performance, reliability, and observability.
- Shape technical direction through architectural discussions and long-term planning.
- Mentor engineers via code and design reviews, promoting technical excellence and growth.
- Contribute to documentation, tooling, and SDKs to improve the developer experience.
- Drive initiatives to enhance platform building, deployment, and maintenance processes.
Requirements
- Deep experience in building distributed and high-performance systems.
- Strong programming skills in PHP or Go.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Understanding of asynchronous workloads, queues, and streaming data.
- Experience with cloud and bare-metal infrastructure.
- Excellent grasp of system design, performance optimization, and scalability principles.
- Clear communicator capable of leading technical projects and collaborating effectively across teams.
