The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and maintain critical features of our ERP platform. This full-stack development role involves working from database schema and business logic to APIs and user-facing functionality, offering a significant voice in product evolution.
This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located anywhere in the US.
What You'll Do
- Design and build new features for our cloud ERP platform, from initial requirements to deployment.
- Take end-to-end ownership of significant product components, contributing meaningfully beyond a "small cog" role.
- Engage directly with customer workflows in manufacturing, distribution, and e-commerce environments.
- Participate in code reviews, share technical knowledge, and contribute to elevating team standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and ensure platform speed and reliability during growth.
- Contribute to shaping technical direction, including architecture decisions, tooling, and development best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably with complex, data-intensive applications.
- Proficiency in at least one dynamic language such as Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript. Willingness to work with Perl is essential, as it forms a significant part of our platform (prior Perl experience is a strong advantage).
- Strong SQL and relational database skills, including schema design and debugging slow queries, beyond ORM usage.
- Experience with cloud software deployment and operations, specifically on AWS.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment, demonstrating clear written communication, proactive questioning, and self-sufficiency.
- Bonus: Exposure to ERP systems, accounting software, inventory management, EDI, or other business/operations software.
